Painting & Home Services in Blue Hill, Maine

Blue Hill is the center of life on the Blue Hill Peninsula, a Hancock County town at the head of Blue Hill Bay with Blue Hill Mountain rising behind the village. Its shops, galleries, hospital, and George Stevens Academy serve the whole peninsula, and painting is a large part of the work we do in this part of the county.

The village has a long run of older homes dating back to its shipbuilding and quarrying years, many with clapboard siding and detailed trim that show every bit of wear. Those houses reward careful work, so we take the time to scrape, sand, and prime properly before the finish coats go on, and we can carry several trim colors through the job when an older home calls for it.

Homes along the bay and out toward East Blue Hill and South Blue Hill take more weather than the ones set back in the woods. Salt air and wind off the water wear on paint, decks, and porch floors, while shaded inland lots tend to collect moss and algae. We wash those surfaces clean, and washing ahead of a repaint gives the new finish a clean surface to hold onto.

Blue Hill is also a summer town, known for the chamber music at Kneisel Hall and for the Blue Hill Fair at the end of the season. Plenty of homes here sit empty for part of the year, and when an owner is away we keep them up to date by phone or email while the work moves along.

Our crew handles more than paint in Blue Hill. We repair siding, trim, porches, and stairs, take on renovation carpentry and roof work, and patch concrete steps and walkways broken up by frost, so one team can stay with your project from start to finish.

Whether your property overlooks the bay, sits in the village, or is tucked along one of the roads leading out toward Surry or Brooklin, Paredes Painting & Pressure Washing is fully insured and happy to provide a free estimate on your Blue Hill project.
